Radler is the German word for cyclist and is also a word used to describe the popular European thirst-quenching blend of beer and citrus. As the story goes, Radlers were ideal drinks for Radlers or cyclists because they were low in alcohol, refreshing and thirst-quenching. Gaspereau Vineyards Riesling Radler has twisted the original concept of a traditional Radler by replacing the beer and hops with Nova Scotia piquette and Riesling wine. No need to worry about gluten or big hoppy notes– no wheat or hops were used to make this spritzer! And no lingering bitterness or acidity—this is simply a refreshing and citrus-forward wine spritzer with a smooth finish.
